Congratulations to Our Friends at Gigya!
I'd like to extend a much-deserved congratulations to the fine folks at Gigya for being named the number one widget company in the world by Comscore. They have been ranked the highest of any widget company in the number of extended web viewers as well as in their reach. In a press release, Gigya shows some pretty impressive numbers: more than 174 million unique viewers worldwide as well as internal data showing an average reach of 25 unique users per installed widget.
This is great news for Gigya...and it is also good news for NewsGator. Why, you ask? Well you may recall that back in late July I announced that NewsGator had partnered with Gigya to enhance widget exposure and monetization. We are currently in the process of integrating Gigya's Wildfire distribution and tracking technology into our network of syndication widgets. This is great news for NewsGator and our clients since this partnership will provide the media companies who use us the ability to distribute content to three times more start pages/social sites than at present, a streamlined process for content syndication, as well as provide sophisticated tracking.
Indeed, back in July, Jeff Nolan, VP NewsGator's Media & Consumer Products said that, "by partnering with Gigya, we enable our top tier media clients to distribute their content to audiences on top social networks, blog platforms, and desktop platforms -- and as their audience grows the opportunity for advertising revenue also grows."
In short, the higher the exposure, reach, and viewership of Gigya products, the higher the exposure, reach and viewership of NewsGator syndicated content. So good news for them is also good news for us. We congratulate Gigya and will let you know as soon as our syndication network is completely integrated with their Wildfire distribution network; one hint: it's coming sooner rather than later.
