Should I tell Microsoft about this problem?

I'm sure they would love to know...

Actually, Microsoft doesn't care. What they provide is an Online Crash Analysis database that the appropriate vendor can access and use to (1) determine any high-incidence of crashes and isolate them to where in their code it is happening. If a vendor associates a fix or workaround with a particular incident, your reporting it will lead to a link coming back that you can open.

You could set up an account where you'd get reports of FeedDemon crashes, for example, that only you could access through the OCA repository site. (I don't think it will work with NewsGator Inbox because it runs as a plug-in, but it might.)

I've had very useful results come back as the result of OCA on programs I was running as an user. Sometimes I'm directed to a 3rd-party site (e.g., Adobe). Mostly there is no answer (e.g., on a perennial hang-up that happens in IE on my system).
