NewsGator FireFox Toolbar Hint
We've been getting a lot of feedback about the toolbar so far... thanks! Please keep the comments coming!
Some of the comments have mentioned that the FireFox toolbar takes up too much precious screen space, which was also mentioned during our in-office alpha period. So in response to that I added the ability to have a smaller version of the FireFox toolbar, but it’s not so obvious on how you use this setting.
The full FireFox toolbar looks like this:
If you right click on the NewsGator Toolbar, you’ll see a context menu:
You can use this to turn certain features off if you wish, but the most important is the “Hide Full Toolbar” option. If you check this option, the NewsGator toolbar will minimize and move just to the right of the FireFox search box:
This gives you back the usual real estate that a normal FireFox toolbar takes up – but you do loose the search box in exchange. You can always get the full toolbar back by bringing up the context menu again and un-checking the “Hide Full Toolbar” option.
Give it a shot and let us know what you think!
