As readers of this blog will undoubtedly know, we've had a busy 2007 so far on the Enterprise RSS front here at NewsGator. That momentum continues with our announcement today with our latest addition to the NewsGator family, NewsGator Enterprise On-Demand (NGEOD).
The software-as-a-service offering delivers many of the features and benefits of server-based enterprise RSS solutions (like NewsGator Enterprise Server) without the requirement to deploy or manage hardware, databases and applications. With NGEOD, you get the centralized management component, platform and device choices and collaboration and discovery tools that make enterprise RSS so valuable in helping to improve corporate communications and increase information worker productivity. Customers also get an added bonus of being able to brand the Web interface with their own logo and color scheme, matching that of an existing intranet (see below). The service model makes it much more accessible to small-medium enterprises as well as divisions or functional groups with larger organizations that don't have ready access to IT resources or expertise than with a server-based offering.
We've been beta testing for the last two months and more than 20 companies including National Geographic and X1 were part of that process. The service is now available for the low price of $99 per user per year. You can visit our Web site and learn more about the service or even try it out for free for 30 days, You can be up and running in a matter of minutes, so I encourage everyone to check it out and take it for a test drive.
