The most linked post in our system tonight is O'Reilly's report that Apple's iTunes will support podcasting in the next rev.
Heck, FeedDemon has been doing that for ... some time...
FeedDemon also includes automatic downloading of podcasts and copies them to iTunes, and unlike many podcast downloaders, it can also sync with Windows Media Player (for those that use a device other than an iPod).
More details here: http://www.bradsoft.com/feeddemon/help/1.0/enclosures/
BTW, French? British? Dutch? Our localized aggregators, created and marketed in partnership with VNU, Europe's largest technical publisher, for each of those countries/language groups are all live now...

There's no point boasting about you supporting podcasting...when you don't even support the iPod iirc?
Will iTunes support be coming?

Is feeddemon available for me as a Newsgator Subscriber yet? I have seen anything about this for a while? If it isn't, any ETA?
TIA
Keep up the good work.

We are still in the process of laying out the best path for rolling FeedDemon into our product line. At this point, no concrete dates have been given yet outside of "coming this summer". Once we have a handle on this information we will be sure to give a detail of the process to get this information.
The best path to be alerted to this update would be to subscribe to http://newsgator.com/news/rss.aspx
Let me know if you have any other questions, or you can email support@newsgator.com

The problem for me is that I'm a current newsgator subscriber who purchased the Newsgator outlook edition. I really like feeddemon's way of presenting feeds (eg, read and agreed to alot of the chatter about how rss isn't e-mail etc..) however, I'm essentially "locked" into newsgator until feeddemon is released for newsgator subscribers -- I don't want to go pay the $25 bucks just to get it free a few months later..
I think alot of newsgator subscribers feel this way - it doesn't make alot of financial sense to purchase something you're (supposedly) getting free in just a few weeks (months?)
